Who: VIXX's Ken (featuring EXID's Hani
Genre: Soft Rock
Single: "빈틈"

If the fact that Ken has been cast in a musical or done well on the blind music show "King of Masked Singer" doesn't convince people that Ken is talented, this song should. It's quite different from most songs Ken has done with VIXX, and though his talent is obviously present in those songs, with the talent of the other members, he's often seen as simply a "decent" singer. Nothing spectacular, just good. But this song shoves all the doubters away and demands everyone see his raw talent.

I was a little nervous for Ken as a solo artist, since I wasn't sure what to expect. I've seen so many members of idol groups do solo singles and make you feel like you're listening to another one of their group's songs, and that's not the point of going solo. However, the soft rock sound fits Ken so well, I'm pretty sure if he never became a part of VIXX, he could have done well as a solo artist with songs like this. I'm glad he's a part of his group, but I do think he'll gain a lot of fans through this song, especially those that snub idol groups. He's just too talented to ignore, and now everyone knows it.

Featuring on this single is the trending female idol, Hani of EXID. She lends her voice (and talent) to Ken's song, which creates a fun atmosphere. It feels a little like they're singing to each other, which is a rare feeling in collaborations. Hani will probably gain (even more) fans through this single, because the last few singles that her group has released have been fun, but they've not necessarily shown off her talent at its fullest.

Overall, this is a cute single from two group members that tend to be overlooked for different reasons by the general public. The chemistry of the song is great, and I already know of a few people who wouldn't mind seeing these two date, that's how cute the song is and they are.

If you're looking for a good, happy song that doesn't necessarily have an overprocessed idol sound, this is a good song to come to.
