Well, if you like rap, this song is for you. And I don't mean idol rap. I mean actual rap.

For some reason, of all the music genres, I am pickiest about rap. Maybe it's because I feel like part of the genre is the idea that you are constantly trying to one-up the last guy. And this song really doesn't do it for me. It's a solid beat and it has some good rapping with good featuring performers, and I can see it being played in a smoky bar somewhere, but it doesn't feel like that rap song everyone will know about. The beat is too repetitive and at times a little too half-baked sounding.

Ugly Duck does have some backing in his company, as he's signed to C J&M, so it's not exactly underground rap, but it's solid by itself. I'm sure there will be people that swear by this, and will think of it as a revolutionary piece, but that person is not me. But that's another good thing about the rap genre. In terms of style, there are enough to go around for everyone.
