Who: Zico (Block B) & Sojin (Girl's Day)
Drama: Mask
Title: Sick

Man, I used to watch a lot of dramas. Now I can barely finish one. Nevertheless, I will do my best to understand the dramas when I review their OSTs.

Getting this out of the way: Zico is more than an amazing rapper. I'm pretty sure that everyone recognizes that by now (even if they don't want to). The rapping verses are obviously Zico. I don't know if that makes sense if you've never heard him rap before, but once you've heard it, you know what I mean. It's gravelly, quick, and unforgiving.

Now contrast that with Sojin's voice. She's coming into her own as a solo vocalist recently (she's collaborated with Dok2 in a song that reminds me of this one, and she's proving to be quite popular with OSTs. She sings clearly and smoothly, giving the chorus the exact opposite from what Zico provides during the verses.

Together, they both portray the feeling of being hurt, lost, and a little confused, and considering the plot of the drama involves two women switching lives, must be at least a little part of the plot. I mean, who wouldn't be confused living someone else's life?

The song is good, though like I said, it does remind me of a song Sojin has already done with another rapper, and the feel of this song seems as though the writers were going for a "Auditory Hallucination" sound (from the Kill Me, Heal Me OST), and fell short, but it's average.

The drama itself is doing okay in ratings, but this song has been on the charts since its release, which goes to show that even with your drama doing okay, getting two top artists involved in the soundtrack can boost your exposure. We'll have to wait a week to see if this song will boost ratings (or maybe it'll be the plot).

Favorite Lyric: "Will you greet me happily if we meet each other on accident?"
