Just Right: This song is confusing me. At the beginning, there are all these sounds that my brain just couldn't fully comprehend, but then suddenly, everything sounded ordered and nice. The vocalists of this group sound good for most of the song, though it took me a while to figure out whether they were singing a chorus or if they were just doing verses that sounded really similar to each other. The rappers are fine, but as with so many other songs, I am underwhelmed by the rapping. And even though the music is good, I felt like I was listening to the exact same 45 seconds to a minute over and over, which doesn't appeal to me. Was there a bridge? I've already forgotten. Check out the music video!
보름달이 뜨기 전에: Within 15 seconds of this song starting, I was mouthing the words, and I've decided that isn't a good thing. I've never heard this song before, I shouldn't be able to immediately figure out the lyrics and beat. Also, did anyone else catch the slight autotune on the rapping? Did anyone else suddenly think of 2006 and T-Pain? No? Just me? That's not good... This song felt really short, and I honestly probably only remember five seconds of it, and it's "보름달이 뜨기 전에," because I liked how they sang it. The rest of the song just sort of went in one year and out the other, which I have never had happen to me before. the song is fine, but it just isn't memorable. Definitely not good.
온몸이 반응해: Is this the sound of this group? I feel like this song and the last are the same song, just with different words and order. The most memorable part is the title again, and though this song is sticking in my head a little better than the last one, it still isn't something that sticks out. Well, except for the random "Ow!" near the end and the line "온몸이 반응해." When is this mini-album going to get good? I really want it to. Truly, I do.
Nice: What sort of beginning is this? It definitely wasn't "nice." This song is actually kind of making me angry, since every time I start actually liking it, it completely ruins it with a random musical change that really wasn't necessary. And the parts I do like are the same thing over and over again and that's annoying. I am annoyed, and I have nothing else to say about it honestly. Except "Ugh."
Mine: The good news is that so far, with one song left, this is my favorite by a long shot. The bad news is that I feel like I'm listening to a song from the early 2000s again, and while I have compared groups to Western pop groups before in a good way, this just doesn't hit that mark. It sort of sounds like one of the latecomer groups that came in near the end of the boy group craze that may have put out a good song or two, but everyone immediately forgot about them. But at least I have a song I don't dislike. I was starting to worry.
Back to Me: Parts of this sound like a 2PM song I've heard before, but I can't remember which one. Again, this isn't exactly a memorable song. and it isn't remarkable either. It sounds like just another pop song. It's fine, but I probably won't listen to it again. I can't say I'm not happy to be done.
Overall: Not a very memorable mini-album. As someone who has friends that are fans of GOT7, I really was looking forward to understanding exactly why they liked this group, and I can't say I do. I feel like I listened to the same song over and over, and while the title song was fine, for casual fans, I'd suggest stopping there. If you are a fan of GOT7, I'm sorry I didn't like it. I really wanted to, and if you do like it, I am really glad. In fact, tell me why you liked it! No matter what I say, your opinion is the one that should matter the most to you, but I want to know why you loved this mini-album; help me learn to like GOT7!
