The girl group you've been waiting for (most likely) has finally come back!

Party: I'll admit, I am a little disappointed in this song. Before I get into that though, I'm going to say this: I like the song. I had high expectations for this comeback, and maybe my expectations were a little too high. But I do like this song. It is definitely a party song. It isn't going to ruffle many feathers for old SNSD fans, nor those of the general public. And because it's generally likeable and it's done by SNSD, it'll do well. That formula just can't be beaten. Now here's my problem with it: it sounds like an elongated intro song. I feel like the song is actually only a minute and thirty seconds long, but it's been stretched into a three minute song. If anything, this is a lesson for me: no matter how popular the group and no matter how great a lot of their other releases, there's bound to be some that you have problems with. That's not going to stop me from "partying" to this song though. Check out the music video!

Check: Whoa, are we back in the 1990s? I'm pretty sure I've heard a 1TYM song with this beat. Oh wait, Teddy Riley composed and produced this song. Everything makes sense now. Everything about this song is good, but I just don't find myself falling in love it. There are certain parts I really, REALLY love, like the "checklist" bit and the "Come here, baby. so call me, call me" part, just because they're different. Besides those parts though, this song is unremarkable, but I don't dislike it. Maybe it's because it reminds me of years past or something, when overly autotuned songs weren't a thing but it sounds like a bunch of songs I've heard before? I'm honestly not sure. I like it, I'm just not in love with it.

Score: 2.4/3
